Nutrition is not covered by insurance but is very affordable. When you call
the office ask for the $90.00 coupon and then your first visit is only
$35.00.
Dr. Mel Derickson uses the most powerful tools for nutritional support
of the body available today; NRT which stands for Nutritional Response Testing.
Nutritional Response Testing is a highly effective technique for finding the
cause of your problem and not just treating symptoms. It is a wholelistic
approach to health. Most problems today can be traced to the body needing good
nutrition. Since the mid 1950's food has less nutrients because of the way it is
grown. It has more toxins and causes more and more problems with the human body.
Many times patients that have chronic back problems, such as low back or
headaches, are in fact having those problems because of a nutritional deficiency.
Dr. Derickson can determine if you are a nutritional case. If he determines
you are then there is no better place for you to be to support your body and
start the healing process. Nutrition cases may sometimes still need a few
Chiropractic adjustments. In cases of toxicity of lymphatic drainage a therapeutic
massage will be required.
The first visit will determine if nutrition is the correct treatment for you
and a complete report of findings will be given a few days later. At that
time you will be given a written report explaining what had been found,
approximate length of time to get through the healing phrase, the cost involved
and what whole food supplements you may need. There is no charge for the Report
of Findings if you are not a nutritional case, however if we find that
nutritional would benefit you then we can start treatment after everything has
been explained to you. These follow up visits are $35.00. The goal is to get you on whole
food supplements which have the proper nutrients to help you body heal itself.
The first visit will take approximately 30 minutes with follow up visits
about 15 minutes. I value your time and I am almost always on time.
Nutrition is much more than taking your morning vitamin. It is one of the
more complex and confusing areas that a person can study. New, old, rediscovered
and in some instances "just plain made up' theories are written about each
day in a wide variety of magazines, newspapers, newsletters, info commercials,
radio talk shows and good ol' gossip.
I have attended seminars for the last 20 years plus I have read volumes on
the subject. What that all boils down to is this. What I use at the office I use
for myself and my wife. There are many many vitamins, minerals & supplements
out there that aren't worth taking and do you no good at all. There is a wide
range of misleading advertisement that unfortunately is legal and is meant to
further confuse you into thinking that "such & such" is a
wonderful product. I probably don't even have to tell you that, you may have
already tried some of them yourself and wasted your hard earned money.
The law states I must tell you that the supplements I may prescribe to you do
not heal a certain condition. That would be considered "Medicine".
Laws have even been proposed that you cannot buy any vitamins to try to treat
yourself, translated into "the public does not have enough sense to know
what is good for them". By law what I can tell you is this: The Supplements
I may prescribe are given to support the body only. They do not treat or heal a
certain condition.
I promise you this. The supplements I use are absolutely the best of the best
available today. Many cannot be sold in health food stores, only a licensed
health care provider can buy and sell them. The way a vitamin is made is just as
important as what it can do. Again there is a wide variety of false
advertisement that is unfortunately legal that can mislead a person. I prescribe
only those vitamins, supplements, herbs, and minerals from companies that I use
for myself and my wife.
